October 1, 2024 – UN – This is the title of the report by Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese, “on the human rights situation in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967”.

According to the report’s Summary, “the systematic destruction of Gaza continues relentlessly, and other areas of the territory are also not spared. The violence Israel has unleashed against Palestinians since post-October 7 does not emerge from a vacuum, but is part of a campaign intentionally orchestrated at the state level to systematically provoke the forced displacement and long-term replacement of Palestinians. This trajectory risks causing irreparable harm to the very existence of the Palestinian people in Palestine. Member States must intervene now to prevent further atrocities that will leave even deeper scars on the history of humanity”.
