September 13, 2025 – 20 Minutes – From September 8 to 26, around fifty Swiss doctors are taking turns in front of the Federal Palace and the SBB train station in Bern to urge authorities to impose sanctions against the Israeli government.

The doctors created the collective “Swiss healthcare workers against genocide”, which calls on the Swiss government to take action: “A football referee is neutral, yet he shows a red card when the rules are violated. We would like Switzerland to play its role as an arbiter between the two opposing parties in Gaza, the Israeli government and Hamas.” Johanna Sommer, a doctor on hunger strike, clarifies: “We are not ‘pro-Palestinian’; we are pro-civilian and against governments that hold humanity hostage.”
